I just came home from the movies and honestly it’s a shame people outside Finland don’t know much about Finnish movies bc this particular one would make a wonderful EdWin au :’) The movie’s name was Oma maa, and long story short it was basically a love story between a (relatively) wealthy girl whose family owns a bakery and a poor man who comes home from a war injured and who has to start everything from the scratch. The girl’s family doesn’t support the relationship but she doesn’t care, and the happy couple starts building their home far from the family. The idea itself might sound kinda generic but tbh the interaction between the main couple were (mostly) super cute and made me think of Ed and Winry (on the other hand, what doesn’t lol)
