Hi!! I just wanted to let you know what an inspiration you are to me! I have been struggling with my writing for a while now, because I have all these ideas that I just can’t put into words. Reading your works has really helped me to form better stories. Please keep up the good work! Lots of love!

O anon, anon, wherefore (=why) art thou anon? In modern English, why are people ashamed of sending nice messages with their usernames? I swear the only thing I’d do if I knew who you were would be virtually hugging you and sending all kinds of nice words to you.

Anyway, this /is/ super sweet and I feel very honored that I’ve been able to help you in some way 🙂 Tbh, I am actually surprised because every time I read someone else’s fic, I feel my language is so damn stiff and bad and I DON’T KNOW ANY ENGLISH WORDS and oh gosh <- that happens. I have a lot of difficulties with English (I wish I could develop my vocabulary), but just like with you, reading other people’s stories has helped me to form somewhat coherent sentences.

To anyone who might be battling with the same issues, my advice is: start with short. No one needs to be able to write a novel in their first try to write fiction. That’s why I only have one multichapter fic (which you all have heard about too much), while the rest are 500-3000 words long one-shots. Write ideas down and remember to read other people’s works as well because a) they show you what kind of language works and what doesn’t and b) you never know where you can find some inspiration.

8/10. Pretty good! I’m from the cold country of Finland and I have to mention that I only like to /watch/ hockey (and pretty seldom figure skating…), you would have to pay me to get me to skate. I hate doing it and admire people who can actually wear the skates for hours. I’m surprised you remember the Virtue/Moir thing considering I have only mentioned it a couple of times when talking about what inspired me to write my ice skating au, but hey, that’s cool 😀 (Yikes, exposed on that posting thing… it’s sort of true, but honestly, I do love creating things and even though I sometimes afterwards wonder if it was a good idea to share a piece of drawing or something, I assure you I don’t mind doing it.)

That’s a fair point. I’m still glad you think it wasn’t too ooc! Honestly speaking, often when I think about my ice skating au Ed, he is not quite as temperamental as the canon!Ed, so I need to remind myself to add something to show his temper. There’s a possibility that once I’ve finished the entire fic, I’ll go back and rewrite some things, but we’ll see. Thanks for the comment! 🙂

Slightly OT but I’ve written 1600+ words for the next chapter so far so it shouldn’t take too long to finish! Here’s hoping it will happen tomorrow 🙂

Hi, for a long time had a question related to EdWin and I thought that maybe you’d know the answer😅… Why is 503 the EdWin number?? I’ve read the manga and watched both animes but I have no clue why is it that way… And maybe you’ll know it? Sorry for the ignorance😅

It’s funny bc this is not the first (and probably not the last either) time this has been asked! 503 has a double meaning when it comes to Edwin. There’s a Japanese denim line called edwin 503 (if you google that, you’ll find a lot of pics of jeans instead of our beloved ship), which is obviously fitting because EdWin is how we usually call the Ed x Winry ship. But 503 is also the number of Winry’s hotel room when she’s visiting the boys in Central (I believe it’s seen at least when Ed goes to comfort Winry after they learn about Hughes’ death). 

Don’t worry, you’re not being ignorant, it seems a lot of people don’t know this 😀
