more aikido/science fair au mainly because I wanted to draw ed in a hakama
some headcanon: ed tests for shodan at the age of 12, becoming the youngest aikido black belt in amestrian history–and he manages it despite his prosthetic leg. he then goes on to take ukemi for al’s shodan test because they’re cute like that and ed’s never let his leg stop him from doing what he wants to do.
