SO GUYS I FINALLY FOUND A VID OF THE *ROMANTIC PARTY SCENES* FROM THE WII GAME. They are pretty great and even have some subs (not good subs mind but I can get the gist of what’s going on)
okay guesstimating from the subs-
Basically first Winry is in the Armstrong mansion and she is tempted to take apart their machines. Ed calls her a machine otaku and is like “you were gonna do that in that nice dress YOUR DRESS IS CRYING” (Ed really cares about fashion) and Winry’s like “too late to try that buddy it’s helpful to you I’m a machine otaku” (aka YOU’RE LOST WITHOUT ME ALCHEMY FREAK".
THEN Winry buys him a hot chocolate and he is totes swept off his feet then he follows her to the terrace and is like “YOU DON’T SEEM HAPPY” and she’s like “why are you saying that did you eat something weird” and “I COULDN’T HELP BUT NOTICE WE ARE *CHILDHOOD FRIENDS*” cue blushing then she wanders over to see Al and is startled when his armor meows.
“Oh there’s a cat in your armor again My heart almost stopped”
“Winry! S-s-sorry! Please keep it a secret from brother!”
“Give the cat some food to keep her happy.”

Then finally
Ed and Winry meet at the fireworks and Winry remembers a time when she, Ed and Al met at a secret place to see fireworks when they were kids. Ed doesn’t really remember and is embarrassed. Winry remembers it because initially Ed and Al were going to do it on their own and but then they bought her along, and she was so happy she cried. Then she gets sad because she remembers that they must have been keeping the secret about trying to rez their mom from her at that time, and that it really hurt her that they didn’t include her and so she couldn’t help them.
Then Ed’s like “Don’t do that, you help me so much” and she’s like “Really? I don’t want you to worry alone anymore. You don’t tell me, you’ll hear about it.” and he’s like “ I KNOW THAT! I-I rely on you more than anyone.”
*_* Perfect kiddies are perfect.
This video is no longer around, but I’d completely forgotten about these scenes and I am tickled remembering.

2. Ed was so deeply concerned about her messing up her dress he said “YOUR DRESS IS CRYING” and I can only think the reason he cared is she looked SO PRETTY in the dress he didn’t want to see it destroyed.

3. Ed dramatically declares that he can always notice how Winry’s feeling because they are ~CHILDHOOD FRIENDS~ and thus have ~SPECIAL CONNECTION~.
4. Al almost gave Winry a heart attack when the cat in his armor meowed and then he SWORE HER TO SECRECY because Ed CANNOT FIND OUT.
Whether you’re talking about the first anime, the manga or Brotherhood canon, one thing remains undeniably true: No one ships EdWin harder than Alphonse ships EdWin.

A/N: As some of you know, I’m studying to become a librarian, so that means libraries are pretty close to my heart. Add that to my other passion, EdWin, and we get an AU that definitely inspires me. I currently have no idea what will come of this, it may or may not be continued (fair warning, if I’m gonna continue it, it won’t happen until I’ve finished my ice skating au because one au is enough to deal with at once), but a lot depends on your feedback. Rockbell, who was working at a library to earn some money for her mechanics
studies, was very ready to go home.
That day
had been one of the busiest that month, with people who were starting their
vacations coming to return their books and also trying to find some holiday
reading. The young library assistant had had to deal with several annoying
customers, including one refusing to pay her fees because she claimed she had
returned the DVD:s she had borrowed even though that wasn’t the case. After
Winry had checked half the library to see if the DVD:s had simply been
misplaced in the shelf, she had finally given up and said they would continue
to look for them, allowing the woman to leave without paying the fees.
Unfortunately,
that wasn’t the only mishap that day. Another customer needed some information on
a topic no one working at the library had ever even heard of, and he wanted a
book about it as soon as possible. It took Winry an entire hour to track one
down from a library on the other side of the country. And just when she thought
the rest of the day would be calmer, the only self-service lending machine in
the library decided to get a bug, and she had to direct the customers towards
the already long queue to the circulation desk. The customers naturally hated waiting,
not afraid to show it when poor Winry tried to serve them with her best skills.
And now,
the clock told her it was exactly 8 PM, time to close the library, and this guy in
the reading corner showed absolutely no sign of leaving! Didn’t he get Winry
wanted to just get home and sleep for 24 hours? She wouldn’t let him just sit
there, so hands on her hips, she marched to his reading spot and patted him on
the shoulder. Since she was tired and frustrated, she didn’t care about what
came out of her mouth.
