Ed is like dude who looks like who could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll who needs the biggest hug like he’s just holding it together for Al but like I wonder how many times he’s actually broken down in front of Winry about how he feels like a failure and she tries to reassure him that he’s not and she just feels brokenhearted cause this boy she loves just feels so guilty and helpless and she wishes she could do something to help so she learns as much as she can about automail

Wow that hurts me as well. Poor boy. Winry better give him the biggest hug. Also, hurt/comfort is my jam so I am kinda wanting to write a fic about this… eventually.

Ed has always hid in Winry’s room when he was upset or scared or lonely and every time she would ask what he was doing he would always reply with ”I just want a quiet place to eat my sandwich” and she’d know that something was wrong and she’d be there for him. It became their code that whenever something was wrong they would sneak away to the other’s room and tell them they needed a quiet place to eat their sandwich

That’s sweet and sad at the same time! I have too many fic ideas in my head atm, but I’d still love to write a fic in which they notice that they have that habit/discuss it/something like that. I love it.

If there is one thing I can never seem to get enough of is ed fucking loving kids, not even his but in general (at least when they don’t make fun of him being short but i guess that changed after he had a growth sprout) i keep reading all this stories where he’s portayed as older and serious and gets shit done™️ but i really wanna find one where amidst the shitstorm a kid shows up and he pulls a 180 and goes from serious leader to dad mode and takes care of said kid as if it was his own (1/2)

Bonus points if he’s working with a bunch of people who don’t know him all that well and when questions arise as for “who knew he had a soft spot for kids?” Al is just there looking at the camera as if he were in The Office like “This people clearly don’t know my brother. at. all.” (2/2)

Ed is a little shit but Winry makes him soft and he will never stop blushing around her. They’d probably accidentally brush hands and Ed would be blushing into his pillow for hours while Al laughs and plans the wedding and ask Ed if he thinks purple would be a good color and Ed would be like ”no blue because it’ll bring out the sparkle in Winry’s eyes” and then he’ll blush for another century while Al just gives him that grin

Ed and Rpy trying to tell each others kids how lame the other one is and Winry and Riza just shake their heads and sip some tea and tell them they’re being stupid (we know those boys are big dummies in love with their women and would die for them) the kids just find it funny
