12: Who initiates the New Year’s kiss?

TBH I kinda see Winry initiating most of the things in their relationship. Ed is just so damn awkward. She’d probably stand right in front of him when the clock tells them it’s midnight and ask: “are you gonna kiss me?” and he’d be like “whaa-aa-t???” and she’d be like “fine. I guess I just have to do this myself then.” and she’d take his face between her hands and give him a big smooch. Not super romantic, I know, but these two don’t do anything in the “normal” romantic way (which doesn’t mean they can’t be sweet!). Edit: after they become a thing officially, Ed gets more confident and he usually initiates it.

14: Would your OTP take a walk together in the snow?

I don’t see why not! The only problem there is is the automail which gets super cold in cold weathers but they’d probably change it to the winter model when it gets that cool. But Ed still gets excited about snow whenever they get it so he would drag Winry from her workshop and maybe even challenge her to a snowball fight or something.

We all know Ed loves kids but what if he had to look after a kid that’s p much like him when he was younger? Someone temperamental yet smart and ambitious and very hard to keep a leash on? I feel like he’d either end up arguing with said kid 24/7 or be especially cautious to make sure they don’t make the same mistakes he did. Or both. Jesus. Poor kid wouldn’t even know if he hates them or not. One moment they’re both yelling and the other he’s teaching them life lessons.

I could most certainly see that happening. I think he’d most likely be a good mix of both of those things you just mentioned 😀 It’s how Ed works.

I’m gonna go ahead and add onto the train headcanon :3 since Resembool seems to be a small town everyone would know each other. People have probably watched Ed and Winry for y e a r s and have been on the Edwin train from the very beginning. They’ve probably even placed bets on when they’ll get engaged. Everyone has been waiting for this moment. When Ed finally proposes everyone is probably ecstatic, their ship has sailed 🛳 (boldly posts without anonymous turned on)

Ok but like at the end of brotherhood when Ed proposed to Winry do you think the entire train just like was watching? Do you think the conductor was like ”nah homie chill for 5 minutes my boy is gonna finally tell his girl he loves her”

Ooh yes they were totally watching 😀 Some probably facepalmed at their dorkiness and some applauded when she said “how about I give you my whole life” 😀 The conductor was probably wiping tears in the end.

Ed is like ”ugh gearhead so annoying” and someone would agree and be like ”yea winry is the worst” and Ed would go ”EXCUSE ME WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY WIFE THE GODDESS WHO BROUGHT ME BACK TO LIFE AND CONTINUES TO HEAL ME AND BRING LOVE AND HAPPINESS IN TO MY LIFE” and winry would find him with his automail all smashed up and would be like ”what were you doing?!” And ed would just blush furiously while Al would laugh and say ”declaring his love for you”

Good stuff right there ^^ Totally canon.

Ok but after the miracle at rush valley do you think Ed stayed up thinking about having kids and ended up naming his and winry’s future kids? He’d turn to Al and be like ”hey Al do you like the sound of Theodore Elric-Rockbell? What about Nina Elric-Rockbell” and Al the absolute little shit refuses to let him live it down

I’m not sure if Ed was that straightforward about it especially during that time when he was still worrying about recovering their bodies but it’s a funny thought for sure 😀 Maybe he DID /think/ about it sometimes tho, and accidentally slip something to Al, like reading about some person named Theodore he’d be like “Theodore is a nice name, right?” and Al would be like ???

Ed is like dude who looks like who could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll who needs the biggest hug like he’s just holding it together for Al but like I wonder how many times he’s actually broken down in front of Winry about how he feels like a failure and she tries to reassure him that he’s not and she just feels brokenhearted cause this boy she loves just feels so guilty and helpless and she wishes she could do something to help so she learns as much as she can about automail

Wow that hurts me as well. Poor boy. Winry better give him the biggest hug. Also, hurt/comfort is my jam so I am kinda wanting to write a fic about this… eventually. 

Ed has always hid in Winry’s room when he was upset or scared or lonely and every time she would ask what he was doing he would always reply with ”I just want a quiet place to eat my sandwich” and she’d know that something was wrong and she’d be there for him. It became their code that whenever something was wrong they would sneak away to the other’s room and tell them they needed a quiet place to eat their sandwich

That’s sweet and sad at the same time! I have too many fic ideas in my head atm, but I’d still love to write a fic in which they notice that they have that habit/discuss it/something like that. I love it.
