“Relax Ed, I’m not even showing yet.”
“But it’s right here and I will continue to kiss it even when it does.”
this killed me
Ok so I need to take this opportunity to talk to you about a very important thing.
Namely, Daddy Ed.
So Ed and Hohenheim are very, VERY much alike except for one critical factor: Ed is no coward. For all his bravery in other things, Hohenheim is a coward about loving people. It’s something an absurdly long life like he had will do to a person, I guess. Watching everyone you love die might make you terrified to get too close.
But Ed isn’t like that. He’s got the guts to stick things out no matter what, and he’s learned that having loved ones makes you stronger.
So he’s got all the love both his parents were capable of, all the conviction that sticking around for the people you love is damn important, and all the joy in babies and new life that he showed in Rush Valley.
Ed would be a FANTASTIC daddy.
