Al in brotherhood: I love my brother but he’s an idiot 70% of the time

Al in the manga: this short asshole is so stupid and honestly if it weren’t for me he would be dead by now

i need there to be a moment in the future where winry tells everyone that her husband was so nervous around her that he once recited the periodic table by heart. to calm down his frickin’ nerves.

winry never lets edward live that down.

HEADCANON – Ed and Winry kept their relationship a secret at first but Al soon figured it out due to their slip ups like Ed’s T-shirt in Winry’s washbasket or Winry smelling a bit more like Ed’s deodorant than her own.

Alphonse Elric could continue to be an optimistic cinnamon roll because his big brother spent most of their childhood shielding him from the reality that they had been failed by every adult in their lives. Edward grew up feeling like he couldn’t count on anyone. Al knew he could always count on Ed.
