Wow. I don’t really know what else to say other than a huge thank you!! ♥
Ice skating au is my baby and I’m really enjoying writing it (altho I’m already getting pretty nervous about having to cover the olympics in the future chapters bc my figure skating knowledge is limited to say the least – funnily enough I know way more about hockey) and it makes me so happy to hear people seem to like it??
Haha, I think my skill to be descriptive without being wordy (yes I totally understand what you mean) mostly comes from my lack of English knowledge; I simply don’t know enough nice words to describe things in detail xD (Also, I don’t really /like/ describing a lot; even when I’m reading other people’s fics, the ‘sun was shining and flowers were blooming’ parts go directly through my brain if you get what I mean) But honestly, I feel honored that you think I’ve managed to “master” that skill :’)
The portrayal of characters is always one of the most important things to me when I’m writing AND reading fics. Even if the fic is otherwise nicely written, but the characters are portrayed in a way that I don’t agree with, I usually don’t care about it (or at least make mental notes like ‘that’s not what he would have done’). That’s why I try to pay attention to it as much as possible when writing. Unfortunately for me, EdWin and fluff are not a very easy combination, bc as much as I adore them, these kids are awkward as hell and it’s safe to say they don’t have a lot of these overly sugary moments, so I’m TRYING to tone the fluffy moments down a bit. And probably failing often xD
You probably weren’t asking for a long answer like this but I’m feeling talkative so here we go. One more time: thank you!! I really appreciate your message! :3 (Oh and the reblogs made me so happy too, thank you for that as well!)
