Ahhh yess!! High five fellow silver spoon fan! I actually finished the anime the other day and really enjoyed it! I definitely want to see how those two nerds officially become a couple (I know it happens but not really more than that) so I’m thinking I should start reading the manga asap 😀 I hope I can find it somewhere. Hachiken and Mikage are adorable ❤ I’m kinda wanting to draw them too, maybe some day 🙂

brotherhood or manga?

Well, I really love Brotherhood. Somehow the animation, voice acting, music, etc, makes everything feel more real (=often more brutal), BUT. Let’s be real. Arakawa is a genius. There are so many important things in the manga that’s been left out of the anime (a lot of the Ishval stuff, for example), and I adore Arakawa’s style, and just everything about the manga. One thing the English dub of the anime did right tho was adding the “I’ll miss you” line in you-know-what scene. Ed definitely should have said that. The “I’ll go now” (Which I’ve seen in many versions?) seems a bit cold. But anyway, I’m getting sidetracked 😛 Manga is my answer!

So I’m having a little trouble navigating your theme :0 I can’t find the next page button or it wont automatically load more posts if I keep on scrolling. I need to scroll through everything and get my edwin fill please help! Maybe I’m just blind and can’t see it idk hmmm :[

Thanks to you, dear nonny, I decided I’m finally gonna change my theme! You are not wrong, I can’t find any ‘next’ buttons anywhere on my blog theme either. The way I’ve been navigating through my blog is either via archive or by writing ‘/page/2′ (or whatever number I want to see) to the address (I mean like: winryofresembool.tumblr.com/tagged/edwin/page/2), which, I know, is really inconvenient. I’ve been considering changing my theme for a while now, particularly since I’m having quite a lot of content on my blog these days, but this message was the final ‘push’ I needed 😀

If anyone knows any nice themes (the requirements are that there has to be space for /at least/ one sidebar gif, ‘next’ button, and preferably 540 px width for pic posts), I’m here for the recs!

Anyway, thanks for this message! I will definitely do my best to keep filling my blog with Edwin also in the future 🙂 🙂 (hopefully in a way that you can find those posts!)

another headcanon: because Ed’s right arm is all skinny and bony when he gets it back, he trains it by arm wrestling with Winry (so he also has an excuse to hold Winry’s hand)

Oh my god anon who are you?? I want to hug you for these awesome headcanons!!! They so make me want to write ficlets about them and ugh.. adorable. 

Teehee, he’s tootally doing it just to get some strength to his arm (btw Winry would win even after he has regained his strength bc she’s STRONK thanks to all the heavy lifting she has to do as a mechanic), no other reasons 😉

headcanon that the day Ed and Al returned to Resembool with their bodies restored was Winry’s birthday

Oh, I really like that headcanon! They would obviously want to bring her a super nice present but when they finally give it to her, she’s like: “I really like it, boys, but what’s much more important to me is that you are here with me today” (and then she might cry a couple of more tears of joy because she CAN’T BELIEVE they’re back :’))

It is 2018 and people are still saying Winry didn’t have a life outside of Ed in bh.

Honestly, I think Winry can do juust fine without the boys in BH. She isn’t just sitting around, she actually wants to help people the best she can, i.e. by making them automails (and learning to do it even better), which most definitely isn’t an easy thing to do. Not only do you need to understand /a lot/ about mechanics, you also need to perform surgeries and have lots and lots of medical knowledge. I can also imagine that a lot of automail customers are difficult to face because losing a limb can be really tough also mentally.

Anyway, I got sidetracked; this post wasn’t supposed to be about Winry’s skills, but her life outside of Ed. After the incident with Scar, Garfiel calls her letting her know the patients are waiting for her eagerly. While the boys have been traveling, she has been building her own life, making new friends and new bonds with people and developing her skills. 

And then there’s the important line: “Even though I haven’t completely accepted the truth behind my parents’ death, everyone’s waiting for me. So I endure.” She’s talking about /everyone/. Every person she meets is important to her. So important that even though she could very well just give up and let the traumas of her past ruin her life, she doesn’t. She wants to help everyone she can. And she does. And that, my friends, doesn’t sound like someone whose life revolves around one guy. 

(I could give a lot of other examples too but I think this post is long enough as it is :D)

Sadly no (not yet anyway). I’m feeling super self conscious about my writing (which is why I’m always begging for comments, and I’m sorry about that) and I feel the audience on the ‘actual’ fanfic sites is much more critical than tumblr peeps (I don’t know why). Also, knowing myself, I would probably checking the stats all the time and that isn’t good for me. But maybe one day! (I probably will make an ffn account first because I use that website more tbh)

I don’t know why I didn’t see this at first but luckily I am seeing it now! That’s a totally adorable idea (and it’s good you gave me the episode number as well) :3 I will try to do that tomorrow! (I kinda want to continue writing now)

To the other anon who requested either Al, Pride and Kimbley or Hohenheim and Trisha, could you please share the episode numbers with me? I believe the latter was in episode 27 but since I’ve seen (most of) fmab only once, I don’t remember them by heart yet 😀
