Obviously I would fight for them, 1) because Al is a great character, and 2) because there’s no way I could ever win that fight xD

Hmmm… 7-8. I am quite excited to see him but it just doesn’t reach the same level of excitement as with Winry and Ed

Yes (the grown up Al, anyway. Sorry Mei!)

He has appeared in several of my fics (and it’s been a lot of fun to write him) but usually not in that big roles. I don’t think I’ve drawn him yet, but I probably should!

He has already a voice that I quite like 🙂 (altho it would be interesting to hear what his more mature voice would sound like, he still has the same voice at the end of BH…)

Lan Fan:

Dude, one does not mess with Lan Fan. I’d never fight her. That means I would fight for her.

Honestly she’s a great character who’d deserve more spotlight than she gets (the Xing squad needs their own spinoff). I’d say 8?

She’s a liittle bit scary. Maybe I’ll leave that for Ling 😀

She already has voices but I’m not gonna lie, I’m not really that fond of her Japanese voice. I think Caitlin Glass is a bit closer to my idea of Winry voice?

You know what’s my favorite thing?

Roy Mustang’s stupid badass coat.

He wears it. frigging. all the time.

This fucking coat survives longer than most characters in the show. Clearly it’s not part of the uniform since no one else has one. And I really don’t think Central’s that cold all the time. Which leads me to believe Mustang constantly wears this coat strictly because he thinks it makes him look cool. About to go overthrow the government but nope, wait, first gotta get the coat. Badass coat. Overthrow the Fuhrer in style.

That thing Ed did with the whole “transmute red cloth into his flamel coat so he could face the Promised Day in style”? Roy did exactly that too, but we don’t see it, and no one comments on it, because literally everyone working under Mustang has seen way too much of that stupid fucking coat.

I’m going to go through and document every instance of Mustang’s stupid badass coat because it’s pretty much more of a main character than he is

There you are. Mustang’s stupid coat. This is just 1-10. Series is 64 episodes long. The coat does not go away. Asshole’s wearing this coat when he helps take down Father I’m about 96% certain. He loves this coat. He really just loves this coat so much. 

Also, I would like to toss in an amendment to the original post. There is one person besides Mustang who sometimes wears that exact same coat.

This epilogue exists to let us know the stupid badass coat is safe and okay. 

Ft. Riza in the same type of coat too. 

I want to remind you that Mustang’s wearing this coat when he finds 11-year-old Ed in Resembool. He’s wearing it now, in the epilogue, which also features Ed with two kids, the older of which looks to be about 2 or so.

This coat’s almost an entire generation old. This coat’s old enough to have baby coats. This coat followed Mustang literally everywhere for decades and somehow never got destroyed once. Despite being attached to Roy “walking target practice” Mustang. Houses and cars belonging to Mustang were destroyed but not this fucking coat. Roy is a responsible and loving coat owner, beyond responsible.

This is the thing that survives.

I would also like to present my personal favorite commentary on this topic:

there’s some brilliant post about how goshdarn beautiful Ed is – how years after the Promised Day kids learn about the Fullmetal Alchemist, the savior of Amestris, and open their textbooks to find this beautiful 16 year old. 50% of the class doodles hearts on their textbook. kids write self-insert historical fanfiction about dating him. the teacher isn’t sure why everyone’s so into this lesson, but they’re happy everyone’s paying attention

and when they grow up?? like kudos to Winry for snatching that up because you know Ed grows up looking even mORE GORGEOUS. and as he mellows out a little with age and isn’t the screaming, irrational teenage boy he used to be (at least for the most part) he breaks hearts left and right on his travels. people curse the fact that he’s clearly in love and faithful – or just too oblivious to pick up on the fact that the innkeeper’s son, who’s been bringing him free treats treats throughout his stay, has a crush the size of Amestris on him.

and Alphonse??? good lord that boy grows up pretty. combine that with his impeccable manners, his incredible fashion sense, and his angelic smile and everyone he meets falls just a little in love with him. boy has flings throughout the East. Amestrian clothing lines keep seeking him out trying to get him to model for them. 

I imagine Alphonse KNOWS he looks good and embraces it completely with Damn Good Fashion, while Ed never quite loses his terrible style, still dresses like someone who doesn’t really know how clothes work, and is completely, 100% oblivious to the fact that he’s attractive and other people can see it. why’d that lady buy him a drink?? who knows. not Ed.

they’re both such completely different kinds of good looking tho like ed is all scruffy and carelessly hot, he forgets to shave half the time, his clothes are always kind of messy even once he stops dressing like a hot topic ad, he’s always got ink on his hands from writing stuff in his research journals (and occasionally on his face if he’s been REALLY into what he’s doing, but he’s got a good smile and the stubble suits him. he always falls asleep on the train but then gets up and leaves still looking good. he’s just like carelessly messily handsome. and you’re totally right that he never realizes he’s hot, he just thinks like “wow people are nice to travelers in this town!” you’re being hit on ed. they’re hitting on you. 

meanwhile al is like….Put Together. al always does his hair, he never leaves the house without a tie, he like actually cares for his clothes, like he irons them and shit. i once had a friend who, when we went on trips, spent the first fifteen minutes in any hotel just hanging up and ironing his clothes and like that’s al, tbh. al is also in this grey area of knowing he’s hot and being perfectly willing to use that to his advantage but LOOKING so sweet and kind that everyone else around him assumes that he would NEVER use that to his advantage. so al is like putting on a smile and charming some poor hapless librarian to let him into the rare books room without permission so he can do some research and yet everyone in the room including the librarian is like “wow………i’d give him my firstborn child” without realizing he’s actively trying to charm them

Edward has NO IDEA he’s attractive and that reflects in how he dresses himself but that actually makes him 10 TIMES MORE ATTRACTIVE and he is baffled, just utterly baffled why everyone keeps giving him free things and trying to spend time with him. he just wants to research why are all these people being so nice to him what is happening (he tells Al all about all these nice people he met abroad and wow other countries sure are welcoming to travelers and Alphonse is appalled. he’s just like….this is my brilliant genius older brother. this dumbass. they’re hitting on you, Edward.)

and ALPHONSE!!! YES!! Alphonse is attractive and he knows it and he is not above using his looks and his charm to get what he wants – but he’s so sweet and polite no one even realizes what he’s doing. he’s never going to use it to hurt anyone or be mean, of course, but look. he really needs to see those rare books on chimeras and he’ll do what he needs to, even if that means seducing every single librarian he meets. 

the idea of them going on a journey together when they’re grown up and after they’ve spent some time growing up apart from each other is just SO GOOD. Alphonse is so embarrassed by how oblivious his brother is. Edward is so horrified by how seductive his sweet innocent little brother has become. 

and like. all Al did was compliment the innkeeper a bit to get them a discount and use That Smile™ and Edward’s treating it like his brother started taking off his clothes right then and there (”HOW COULD YOU BE SO SCANDALOUS??” “what are you talking about.”)

1. Favorite holiday? Christmas, for sure. I don’t know, I’ve always loved it

2. Do you have any pets? Used to have a dog, not anymore.

3. If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would buy?

 Probably just food xD I wouldn’t want to spend all of it right away.

4. What is your most listened to song ever? (If you don’t know for sure, take a guess!) 

Uhhhh. Probably one of David Cook’s songs I listened to A LOT back in the day. (Declaration, Light On, Bar-ba-sol, etc)

5. Favorite book? 

Hmmmm, Harry Potter and Prisoner of Azkaban is definitely there near the top.

6. What is your fashion taste like? (pls not like ed’s)

Just like Ed’s ofc! OK no actually I’m really lazy when it comes to me picking my clothes so it’s usually just a hoodie and jeans. Booring.

7. What character in any sort of work do you identify with most?

tbh there are a lot of them. Mairin from Pokemon (small, clumsy, a bit silly), Mary Bennet from Lizzie Bennet Diaries (I can’t say much about the original Mary Bennet), I even identify with Ed on some level (obviously we also have a lot of differences but still)

8. Do you have any tattoos or piercings?

I do have holes for earrings but I haven’t used them for a loong while.

9. What are you procrastinating on right now?

Everything. Even writing these answers (writing fics, school assignments, answering to my friends’ messages, etc)

10. Writing or drawing?

Doodling/sketching because it does take a lot less time than writing a full fic xD I’m a very lazy person with also limited time. (TBH I’d love to write more regularly but easier said than done)

11. What is a show that influenced your childhood?

Pokemon, less surprisingly, but also Moomins. They were super important to me.(tbh I used to watch quite a lot of children’s shows, I swear they were better back in the day)

Summer. Now that it’s winter here I’m waiting for the warmth (well, it’s never really warm here but anyway. Altho sleeping is defs easier when its cooler and darker, I admit that. And no insects. And the winter is supper pretty rn, it’s so white here.  So, winter isn’t all bad but summer is still more for me)

2. What is your favorite place?

My bedroom ;P (It really is xD)

3. Do you prefer big, industrialized cities or small ones where the beach is nearby?

Oh definitely the latter. Not that bigger places don’t have their cons but yeah. I was raised in a v small town.

4. Where would your ideal vacations be?

Any place warm and safe (and preferably with English speaking people around bc that does make things easier). Australia would be cool. (Also Japan!!)

5. What is your dream job?

atm it’s librarian.

6. Are you a dog or cat person?

Cats all the way, though dogs can be very nice too (if it isn’t my brother’s dog)

Homemade pizza!

Tumblogging tbh (well, writing, drawing and making gifs for my blogs). And watching anime. And reading fanfics&original works too. And playing on my 3ds.

10. If you could choose one superpower, which would it be?

Being able to write without actually doing the writing xD (Like, I just think of a fic and the text would just magically appear. How awesome would that be). OK fine it would be cool to be invisible or be able to teleport myself from one place to another.

11. How would you like to spend your old age?

Peacefully, with important people around me hopefully.

Hello Everyone! Wow, I totally forgot about this page! I am very sorry for beeing inactive for such a long time. Since I am a very active cosplayer now I barely had time to draw anything.
