We all know that Van Hohenheim wears glasses in 1914.
However, on the night Xerxes was sacrificed, when Hohenheim stopped biologically aging, he isn’t seen wearing any. Nor does he wear glasses in any other Xerxes flashback.
You might say, “Oh, well glasses just weren’t invented yet then,” But in episode 56, a Xerxian named Tommy, one of the souls living in Hohenheim’s stone, is pictured wearing glasses
If Hohenheim needed glasses back then, he would have been able to get them, so it makes no sense for him to only start wearing glasses later on. He’s a philosopher’s stone whose health never deteriorates, so his eyesight wouldn’t ever start worsening.
Which means that the only logical conclusion I can come to is that Van Hohenheim wears glasses just for the aesthetic.
What else would you expect from the father of Edward “I would die for my aesthetic” Elric?
ughhh..another cuddly picture >< so, I decided to finally read Fullmetal alchemist (because I only watched the anime long time ago but never read the manga) and it was totally amazing D: and the end was so nice..I had to draw this :3
